Rebuilding Support for Climate Action in London
November 2025

Alongside policy makers, researchers, activists and people working in civil society, we met with Mete Coban the Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy, and the London School of Economics (LSE) to provide recommendations on how to connect climate policy to Londoners’ priorities for social, racial, and economic justice.
Partners for a New Economy: Fertile Ground

A report exploring Europe’s new economy landscape by Partners for a New Economy and Metabolic, in order to:
- Identify shared challenges, needs and structural gaps across organisations.
- Create an updated mapping of organisations in Europe.
- Offer recommendations to funders and the field on how to strengthen the field and support its objectives.
- Identify where points of cohesions, traction and progress can be further supported.
- Surface key trends, shifts and emergent dynamics over the past 5 years.
- Develop a practical framework to support navigation and understanding of the new economy field.

Beyond the Greenlash

Although people haven’t suddenly stopped caring about climate change, it has plummeted as a priority relative to the cost of living and health. But the political consensus has frayed, and opportunistic anti-green rhetoric and positioning has proliferated, weaponising genuine worries about the affordability of green policies into an economic argument against net zero.
This short think-piece was written following a meeting of researchers, strategists and communication specialists, and is intended to help improve our climate communication strategies.

In June 2025 we spoke at the “Accelerating Social Change in Response to the Climate and Ecological Crisis” event in London – a day that brought academics, activists, campaigners and policy makers to discuss pathways forward in response to the climate and ecological crisis that the UK and the whole world is facing.
A report was created based on the perspectives shared on the day with key recommendations for policy makers, researchers, activists and civil society.
Understanding Reform UK and Their Approach to Climate Change
May 2025

Commissioned by NEON, this report provides a snapshot analysis of Reform UK, a far-right political party that has significantly increased its support in the last 18 months.
It looks at who is voting for Reform and why, and what tactics Reform are using, especially as it relates to the issue of climate change. The report also includes interviews with climate organisers and their reflections on how well prepared the climate movement is to deal with the challenge Reform poses and win its agenda in the current moment.
