Climate and class

In August 2023, before our official launch, we joined a panel discussion on climate and class hosted by the Working Class Economists Group.

The discussion drew focus to the strained relations between the working and middle class within environmentalism and how this negatively impacts movement building, and sketched out how we planned to overcome these issues as an organisation. Emma was joined by John Barry, Professor of Green Political Economy at Queen’s University Belfast, and Asad Rehman, Director of War on Want.
