Bridging the Gap Between Climate Policy and Social Justice

Co-Director Emma River-Roberts will be speaking at the upcoming (remote) seminar about climate justice and social policy on 3rd March, 4-5.30pm CET. Hosted by the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), She will be joined by Dimitris Stevis, Professor of Political Science at Colorado State University.

This seminar will discuss how we can address the jobs versus climate dilemma, in particular by empowering workers, their organisations and their communities to participate in and benefit from the transition to net-zero. It will also discuss how trade unions and collective bargaining contribute to a just transition for workers, and the conditions necessary to ensure that social justice and environmental protection go hand-in-hand.
