The WCCA is Taking Part in NPC’s Everyone’s Environment Programme

6th December 2023

We will be taking part in the Everyone’s Environment programme, an initiative by the London-based think-tank New Philanthropy Capital (NPC).

This programme is a collaboration of over 50 social and environmental charities including GreenpeaceMind, the British Heart Foundation and the Joseph Roundtree Foundation, to accelerate action on the social impacts of the climate crisis. We will be taking part in the upcoming ‘people living in poverty’ strand, which will explore how people living in low-income households in the UK will be affected by the environmental crisis and its related policies. Click here for further information about our upcoming work with NPC.

The WCCA recognises the importance of engaging with the professional climate sector and speaking directly with the working class to understand what their needs are, rather than making recommendations for policy/initiative changes on behalf of them. However please note that we do not use our member’s information for this purpose (nor will we ever contact our members to ask them to partake in any of the WCCA’s professional/research work). Our members did not join this organisation to become potential project/research participants – thus, any of our work in this area will be via engagement with working class individuals and communities not associated with the WCCA.
