This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared by the Working Class Climate Alliance (WCCA). Members’ data is held and processed in accordance with GDPR regulations in the United Kingdom.
What Data Do We Collect?
We only hold the information on a secure, encrypted database that you have provided us when signing up to become a member, and do not seek out third-party sources to gather data. The information we collect may include (but is not limited to) names, class faction, emails and the geographical region where you are based.
What Do We Use Your Data For?
We use your data for the purpose of advancing the aims of the WCCA.
Sharing Your Personal Information:
WCCA members are invited to share information about the environmental work they’re currently, or have previously, been involved in. This may be shared internally with other members and/or with the public. This is entirely optional and if a member should decide to share this information with us, the conditions of dissemination will be agreed with the member beforehand (such as where it is going to be shared, whether it will be made available for the public to view or just for WCCA members etc.).
Your Rights:
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Right of access: You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Right to erasure: You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to object to processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information For?
We will only retain your personal data for the duration of your membership. If you decide to leave the WCCA, all of your personal data will be removed from our database within 60 days. If you wish to rescind your WCCA membership, please email us at info@wccalliance.org.
