The WCCA is delighted to have joined WEAll (The Wellbeing Economy Alliance), an international collaboration of organisations, alliances, movements and people working towards a Wellbeing Economy on a healthy planet.
WEAll defines the Wellbeing Economy as:
“Not simply a different economic system, it involves a shift in how we seek to live together from seeing ourselves as owners and consumers toward being caretakers and creators of a flourishing world.”
Connecting with progressive change makers and thinkers from across the global North and South is one of the WCCA’s key aims. It is vital that we do not seek to only align with other working class individuals and organisations, or those just working within environmentalism. Building a mass movement capable of transformative change requires everyone fighting for justice in all forms, together. This includes aligning with the middle class, those focused on other areas such as attaining food security, gender equality, racial equality, reproductive rights and so on – absolutely everything and everyone is interconnected.
We are looking forward to sharing the work that we do as well as learning from all the wonderful people at WEAll and its members. The global community is stronger together!
